Written Meditation … Read slowly and Breath

How many more rounds do I have to walk
Before I finally catch my own tail
before I will say:  ‘enough now!’
enough is enough!
I am no fail.
And I am done fooling myself

Why all this suffering?
While I know peace
Why all the frustration?
While I know tranquility
Why all the confusion?
While I know….
How to break out the illusion

Why am I still fighting,
What for?
Was it worthy of my energy?
Has it opened a new door?
surrender the battle… and I lay down my arms
There is nothing to gain, nor to win
how do I expect something to grow when I chop it down,
even before the seed is about to sprout?

Being seperated from my divine self as result
Being divided within
Creating diffusion on the outside
back in the rollercoaster spin.
round and round
until I see. Continue reading Written Meditation … Read slowly and Breath

Creating a calm mind to find creative solutions within

When there is worry, there is fear involved.
If you experience fear, the mind is not calm.
Solutions to personal and global problems appear when the mind is calm.
Overthinking a problem, is the problem.
It is always based on fear and blocks the ability to receiving creative solutions.
The mind thinks it is finding solutions, but in reality it creates more worry,
which leads to new worries and more stress.
This is the pattern of the  worrying mind.

Meditation is a tool
To calm the mind and to sooth the worries,
To feel the connection in all of existence.
When we feel connected, there is less fear.
To be connected means that there is a form of love present.
When we are in the energy of love, fear and therefore worry can not exist.
So again: meditation is just a tool. It is not the goal.
There is no guarantee that when you do meditate, you will be in a 24/7 zen zone.
It does help though to become a master of the mind.
It helps to detach and to give a another direction to the ongoing thoughts.
Meditation helps you to become aware and with this awareness you can act in more efficient and effective ways.
Meditation is not a shortcut for the lessons we have to learn. Meditation is not the solution for the problems in our life. It is not the solution for inner/world peace.
It is just a tool to become more aware of the challenges we learn in life.

Happy Holy days!

Everyday is a Holy day. Or at least that is what everyday could be if you choose to put the magic in it. The choice is yours. If you decide to make today special, then so it will be.

Let’s be honest, the holiday seasons do have special magical powers, especially the ones in the winter. It is not special though because all of the stories we tell. Yes, the stories are part of the holiday experience. Stories about hope and peace, do contribute to this special feeling that we all together create. Stories of victory, of harmony and new beginnings. Holy days are special because, we humans, give special powers to those days.
All together
We put our best happy face on

We smile more
We do more kind things for one another
We take care of those who have less
We bless each other
We give presents to each other
We have empathy for the suffering of another
We sing songs of hope
We dress into our most beautiful clothes
We eat delicious prepared meals
We put on lights everywhere
We come together for a good time
We are grateful for what we have. And yes…. The magic works. All our effort influences our overall feeling. It influences our moods for the better and therefore the holidays are holydays. If nobody would make an effort, there would be nothing holy about the holidays. If we would not give meaning, there would be nothing special about the holidays. Continue reading Happy Holy days!

The irony of perfection

Who is it that decides what perfect is?
Who are you to judge that something is not perfect?
The irony of perfection is that it is a concept,
Some ‘thing’ that many strive for and yet nobody knows exactly what it is.
Perfection is an image, It is an abstract concept
Not one definition of perfection is  the same, because one simple reason.
Perfection is subjective.
Perfection is an opinion.
Perfection is not a fact.
It is quite hard to satisfy an opinion. One day you like blue and the next day you might like red. So what will it be?
Opinions are changeable like the dutch weather and therefore not very reliable.  Continue reading The irony of perfection

Be different, Be brave, Be your self

Last couple of years I’ve been hearing from people that i’m weird, odd, different, unusual, That they can’t put me in any box, that they can not label me with any label. It’s funny, because in the past I used to feel this way as well. Though I think I always could cover it up very well. In a way I must be a great actor, because I could fit into any group. I could be what the other wanted me to be. That is a superpower. But it is not so beneficial when it controls you, or better said: when you allow others to control you.

I always thought I had a sense of who I was, until I started this path of self transformation. It was my false sense of self that kept confirming that it knew itself. Where actually the real self is nothing like it. When you are just yourself, you don’t have to go looking for yourself anymore.

But I have stripped myself partly off my former identity. The core of who I am, is set in stone. It is unchangeable. But all that I was not, the false self, crumbled away. I had to confront myself. See myself ‘naked’. Over and over again. Because no, the process is not done and definitely not finished. But slowly, slowly, I get a real sense of what it is to be me. Some days better than others. And in one situation it is more clear then in another. It’s hard, It’s though, It’s painful, but oh God. There is nothing more satisfying to see yourself, as you really are. To see yourself growing into a more loving human being. To care less about what others might think of you and being less sensitive to their projections and opinions.  Continue reading Be different, Be brave, Be your self

So… you write all these texts and publish them for your fun, but who are you men?

I do find it a challenge to talk about who I am with others. I do struggle to find ways to express the unusual things that happen in my life. Often I receive thoughts, ideas and realisations about things I could do to make this world a little bit more beautiful. Sometimes new ideas pop up in my head about creating pieces of art. I receive many suggestions, mostly in an instant, about life itself and about human behaviour. I see from some things why they are functioning in the they function. Often when I talk to people I just know the solution to their problems.  I discovered that I am a healer too. With for example a reiki treatment I can channel energies that are healing for body, mind and emotion. But as I already mentioned. I find it difficult to talk about it. and to express these things. So usually I shut my mouth.  Continue reading So… you write all these texts and publish them for your fun, but who are you men?

Inner guidance

Listen to your inner guidance,
because that is your only truth
There is no other truth that can lead to your happiness, your freedom and your path.
Others can open new perceptions, others are there to show you what you can’t see
but they are never more true than your inner guide.

Who is it that provides you with answers?
It is you, in another form

How reliable is this guidance?
It is as reliable as you trust yourself in human form Continue reading Inner guidance
